Krispy Kreme and ArcGNO announce dates for two days of
“Beads-for-Doughnuts”
WHO:
Krispy Kreme and Arc of Greater New Orleans (ArcGNO) Mardi Gras Bead Recycle Center
WHAT:
Will partner for the ever-popular Mardi Gras bead recycle drive. On March 20 and 21st, customers who bring in 12 pounds or more of Mardi Gras beads to Krispy Kreme will receive a dozen original glazed doughnuts for FREE or a coupon redeemable through April 20, 2026. Please note that beads will be weighed.

WHY:
ArcGNO’s recycling service is one of several social enterprises managed by ArcGNO. This year-round operation employs adults with intellectual disabilities or developmental delays. These employees, along with a dedicated group of volunteers, sort, band, repackage, and sell beads to carnival riders. According to Nyra Landry, the Manager of Arc’s Recycling Center, the organization recycled 127 tons of beads and throws last year.
