Credit Human, Bootstrap Economics Launch 8-Week Small Business Incubator and $5,000 Pitch Competition for New Orleans Entrepreneurs
NEW ORLEANS (April 7, 2026) – Credit Human Federal Credit Union and Bootstrap Economics have partnered to launch a free, 8-week virtual small business incubation program designed to support and elevate entrepreneurs across the New Orleans area. The program will provide participants with the tools, structure, and guidance needed to build capital-ready businesses, culminating in a live pitch competition with a chance to win $5,000 in startup funding.

“Credit Human is excited to partner with a respected small business start-up organization like Bootstrap Economics, as small businesses are an important part of the lifeblood of a healthy business community in New Orleans,” said Dominique Tyson, Member Relationship Specialist at Credit Human. “With a focus on helping small businesses succeed and grow, we encourage local entrepreneurs to take advantage of this free program and the opportunity to strengthen their businesses.”

Branded as “The Business Jingle: $5,000 Pitch Competition,” the program brings together entrepreneurship, capital readiness, and music, inviting New Orleans small business owners to “turn your business into a jingle” while sharpening their financial and operational foundations. Participants will benefit from 8-week capital readiness training, 1-on-1 business coaching, and precision technical assistance to strengthen their path to growth and funding.

The program consists of weekly one-hour virtual sessions focused on strengthening financial systems, operational discipline, and overall business readiness. At the conclusion of the program, participants will pitch their businesses to a panel of local business leaders during a special live event, where one entrepreneur will be awarded $5,000 to support their venture. Pitch training begins May 1, and applications are open through April 15.
Spots are limited, and local small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply at: https://bootstrapeconomics.co/pitch-your-business/

“Through this initiative with Credit Human, we create a stronger pipeline and a warm handoff to financial institutions, connecting them with entrepreneurs who are structurally sound, financially prepared, and truly capital-ready,” said Lynisha Senegal, founder of Bootstrap Economics.

In addition to Credit Human and Bootstrap Economics, the program is also supported by the Jeff Tyson Collective for Musicians and Culture, expanding its reach into New Orleans’ vibrant creative and cultural economy and aligning the pitch competition with the city’s deep musical heritage.
