
Applications Are Now Open: Food Business Microgrant Program
The New Orleans Redevelopment Authority (NORA) is now accepting applications for the Food Business Microgrant Program, an initiative designed to strengthen New Orleans' food economy by investing in eligible commissary kitchens.
Through this program, eligible applicants may receive up to $400,000 to support renovations and infrastructure improvements that create safe, functional, and code-compliant commissary kitchen spaces. Eligible projects may include upgrades to electrical, plumbing, mechanical, ventilation, fire safety, sanitation, and other building systems, as well as the installation of fixed commercial kitchen equipment.
By investing in commissary kitchens, this program expands opportunities for food entrepreneurs by improving the shared spaces they rely on to launch, grow, and sustain their businesses.
