A HAUNTING STORY OF FIRST LOVE, MEMORY, AND THE ARTIST AS A YOUNG MAN. The Tennessee Williams Theatre Company of New Orleans presents one of Tennessee Williams’ most personal and rarely produced works: SOMETHING CLOUDY, SOMETHING CLEAR by Tennessee Williams Directed by Augustin J Correro September 10–27 The Lower Depths Theatre at Loyola University New Orleans On the lonesome dunes of Provincetown, a writer wrestles with his conscience and desires. One summer long ago, new love and heartbreak found him washed ashore. Will he reflect on his choices, relive his past... or choose to rewrite his history? Tennessee Williams is unabashedly autobiographical in this rarely-seen masterwork of regret and redemption, centering on the dancer he longed for in that now-distant summer. Moving between past and present, memory and invention, Something Cloudy, Something Clear finds Williams looking back at the experiences that shaped the man—and the artist—he would become.
