About Us

The New Orleans ToolBank is a nonprofit agency that serves community-based organizations by providing tools, equipment & expertise to empower their most ambitious goals. Our mission is to equip communities with the tools they need to bring about positive change. Our signature tool lending program allows organizations to borrow tools instead of purchasing them, thereby saving funds that can be utilized to support their mission.

ToolBank Member Agencies include nonprofit organizations, charitable organizations, community groups, faith-based organizations, schools, universities, and neighbors looking to transform their communities.

ToolBank’s signature tool lending model provides, stores, and repairs critically needed tools and equipment that can be used for construction, demolition, landscaping, cleaning, and special events.

ToolBank also provides team-building events called ''Building Change'' that benefit local non-profit organizations. During this event, your team will have the opportunity to learn new skills and work on projects outside of their usual work environment. The project involves building various outdoor items such as picnic tables, raised beds, compost bins, and more. Once completed, these items are donated to non-profit organizations, schools, community centers, and parks in our community.
