About Us
Fight Like A Warrior (FLAW) Foundation is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving St. Bernard Parish and the Greater New Orleans area. We support individuals of all ages and genders facing any cancer, along with their families and caregivers, through mentorship, education, advocacy, and survivorship resources.
Founded in 2023 by a cancer thriver and retired military officer, FLAW grew from a personal understanding of the challenges a cancer diagnosis brings and the difference compassionate support can make.
Our programs include a Mentor Academy that prepares cancer thrivers and caregivers to support others, community meetings featuring healthcare professionals and wellness resources, and a Chemo Comfort Bag Initiative that brings encouragement to individuals receiving treatment. We create opportunities for connection, learning and support throughout the cancer journey.
Through partnerships with healthcare providers, businesses, and community organizations, we connect people with resources and remind them they do not have to face cancer alone.
We welcome Chamber members to get involved through sponsorships, volunteering, in-kind donations, and community partnerships. Together, we can strengthen the support network for local individuals and families affected by cancer.
