French Quarter Festivals, Inc. is proud to present the 19th annual Satchmo SummerFest! Satchmo Summerfest is the premier American festival dedicated to the life, legacy, and music of New Orleans' native son, Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong. With performances from more than 30 jazz, brass, swing, funk, and fusion bands and lectures from Satchmo scholars and historians, this festival is perfect for serious music-lovers of all kinds! In addition to world-famous acts like Ellis Marsalis, Jr., Charmaine Neville, and Kermit Ruffins & the Barbecue Swingers, guests will also be able to enjoy some of New Orleans’ best food and drink with participation from local vendors from across the city. All ages are welcome to join in on the fun, with family-friendly activities like arts & crafts and instrument making in The Pop’s Playhouse for Kids, and free admission for children 12 and under. Daily admission for adults is $6 and helps support local musicians and grants access to Jazz Museum’s collections and exhibitions.
