Ruby Slipper Café invites all Jazz Fest attendees to pregame at the café before heading to the 50th Annual Jazz Fest. Guests who show their Jazz Fest ticket will receive $2 off any Mimosa or Bloody Mary. The café will be the perfect destination for revelers to get festival-ready, with the outdoor space packed with balloons and bubbles, lawn games and lounge furniture and even a prize wheel for Ruby Slipper giveaways. To make the event even more fun, Ruby Slipper will have “DIY” festival face paint and tattoo station, WWOZ on the outdoor speakers and French Truck offering samples of its “Festival blend” coffee and other prizes. Second Harvest Food Bank also will be collecting donations for the annual Ducky Derby. The city is getting into Festival season, and Ruby Slipper is joining in on the fun. The Mid-City location is only one mile from The Fairgrounds, where Jazz Fest takes place, so owners Jennifer and Erich Weishaupt are encouraging all attendees to stop by to make the most of Jazz Fest’s 50th year by starting off at a signature New Orleans restaurant.
