At One Book One New Orleans' first "Literacy as a Tool to Combat Incarceration" panel, educators and organizations talked about how they are working to make a difference. In the second part of this series, formerly incarcerated people will discuss how receiving education in prison has helped their re-entry.
Moderator Bruce Reilly will lead a discussion featuring panelists Bobby Wallace, Jacqueline Hall Johnson, and Patrick Young.
The evening will begin with a reading from Zachary Lazar, author of One Book's 2019 selection, Vengeance.
Engaging New Voices and Voters (ENVV), a non-partisan coalition committed to ensuring that all can have their voices heard on the issues that affect their lives by exercising their right to vote, will be registering voters throughout the event.
This event is free, family-friendly, and open to the public. As always, food will be provided.Tell a Friend
