The Story Road Project, an outreach program of the Newcomb Department of Music and Summer Lyric Theatre at Tulane University working in conjunction with the Tulane Center for Public Service, will present two performances of the new musical, Tortoise & Hare by Emmy Award-winners Allen Robertson and Damon Brown. In keeping with the mission of The Story Road Project, which brings live theatre to at-need and at-risk children throughout New Orleans, admission is free to the performances, but donations will be collected to benefit, City Year New Orleans. Tortoise & Hare presents a telling of this age old classic through the musical and dance styles of rap, hip hop and other pop styles. This production will be filled with memorable and fun-loving characters who will help us remember the importance of community, team work and respect for one another.
