While the festival continues to pay tribute to America's service men and women, with October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we chose to also use this event to join the fight in bringing awareness to an important health issue affecting one in eight women in the United States. This year's event will feature a Breast Cancer Awareness Glow Bike Ride by honoring cancer survivors and the memories of those lost. Pre-register for the bike ride at www.troycarter.us or by calling Senator Troy Carter's office at 504-510-9000. If you don't have a bike, no problem! Bikes are available to rent for a small fee beginning at 5:45 p.m. Bring the family to come celebrate our wonderful community and honor our military with live music, food trucks, kid's activities, art vendors and more. Mark your calendar for October 5 and stay tuned for more details about this incredible event.
