For New Orleans to maintain its position as a preferred destination by travelers around the globe, it is important that an aggressive marketing program be continuously employed by the city to attract visitors and their spending, and support the 86,000 jobs attached to the hospitality industry. The role for this falls on two organizations in the city- the New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation (NOTMC) and the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Mark Romig, President and CEO of NOTMC will present the current leisure travel campaign for New Orleans as we enter the Tricentennial year and discuss the future of tourism for the city.
