Nous Foundation announces major international business summit in New Orleans

The world meets in New Orleans! The Nous Foundation is thrilled to announce its inaugural Forum Économique exploring the theme: Shaping a Multilingual Economy in America. An international jobs fair and business summit focusing on French, the Forum will bring together some of North America's largest companies and all-star panels celebrating multilingual talent in the workplace.

The Forum will take place on January 26th at Tulane University's Lavin-Bernick Center, convening over 30 companies from around the world brought by Business France, the Delegation General of Quebec, and the Nous Foundation. The event is free and open to the public – and will include employment and internship opportunities, professional workshops, and panels with entrepreneurs and leaders who will share how multilingualism shaped their careers.

Commenting on the Forum’s significance, Nous Foundation Executive Director, Scott Tilton, stated, “This summit is a major step forward for Louisiana. It will also highlight the unique business opportunities for the state when we promote French – a language spoken in Louisiana for the past three hundred years. As such, an annual global business summit will further help raise New Orleans's status as the ideal city for international business. Our goal is for the Forum to become Davos on the Bayou, where business leaders and young professionals will meet in New Orleans to discuss global business trends and find sustainable employment opportunities in French. In addition to having major companies like Airbus present, the summit will highlight local startups and scaleups. We are proud to work with partners such as the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs to bring this ambitious summit to life.”

The Nous Foundation is organizing the Forum Économique in partnership with the French Ministry of
Foreign Affairs, with the support of Tulane University, GNO Inc, Sodexo, and the Government of
Quebec. Businesses may still register for free to participate in our job fairs. Interested parties can reach out to the Nous Foundation (bonjour@nous-foundation.org) and find further information about the Forum

    About:

Founded in June 2020, the Nous Foundation (www.nous-foundation.org) is a nonprofit cultural institute dedicated to preserving and promoting French and Creole in Louisiana and across the United States. The foundation's actions center around three priorities: organizing cultural events, creating original content, and launching innovative programs. Through an initiative launched and spearheaded by the Nous Foundation’s co-founders, Rudy Bazenet and Scott Tilton, Louisiana became the first state to join the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF) in 2018. The OIF brings together 88 countries and regions, 16% of the global economy, and over 1 billion people.
