DESCRIPTION:OCD Louisiana invites all members of the community to attend the One Million Steps For OCD Walk on Sunday\, November 9 at Washington Square in New Orleans. Help us raise awareness\, funds\, and hope! Step out and speak up at this much-loved event where we can connect with others and educate our communities about what it really means to have OCD or a related disorder (e.g. body dysmorphic disorder (BDD)\, hoarding disorder\, and body-focused repetitive disorders). Free to participate\, but please register in advance to start fundraising! iocdf.org/walknola All funds raised will support programming of OCD Louisiana and the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF). These programs aim to drive change through advocacy\, education\, research\, and resources that improve the lives of those living with OCD and related disorders. Check in is @ 9:30AM at Washington Square (700 Elysian Fields Ave) in New Orleans. Washington Square is a dog friendly\, shaded\, historic park with a playground in the Marigny. 2025 OCD Walk T-shirts available at check-in for all children 12 and under and walkers age 13 and up who raise $25 or more. The Walk Route is between 1 - 2 miles. More activities include Courageous Campers' bravery station\, mindfulness exercises\, silly activities\, and fun challenges for all ages. We'll have giveaways including our OCD Walk crayons\, free registration to one of IOCDF's Online Conferences or Online OCD Camp\, and more.
