In Louisiana\, kidney patients and transplant recipients have been adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Our patients are at higher risk for contracting COVID-19 and the virus is responsible for causing acute kidney failure in some patients\, therefore creating a rise in the number of patients accessing our services. The NKFL continues to provide vital services to patients and families and your generous support directly funds these efforts.
